DHL Express partners with Circle K to expand last mile delivery touchpoints in Hong Kong
Customers can now access DHL Express's On Demand Delivery (ODD) service to decide where and when to receive their overseas deliveriesacross more than 600 convenient locations
New"Courier Time Window" feature will be added to the On Demand Delivery service for customers to make last minute changes to delivery schedules
HONG KONG,April 2,2019 -- DHL Express,the world's leading international express service provider,has announced a strategic partnership with Circle K to extend its On Demand Delivery service to more than 300 Circle K stores across Hong Kong. Under this partnership,customers will be able to visit these Circle K stores to pick up their overseas merchandise,whenever and wherever it is convenient.
Since its launch in 2016,DHL Express's On Demand Delivery service has provided greater flexibility to both shippers and receivers. Receivers are proactively notified via email or short-messaging system (SMS) about a shipment's progress,placing control into their hands. A user-friendly mobile-optimized website allows them to choose from a selection of flexible delivery options including redirecting their delivery to a DHL service point or nearby convenience store. DHL Express couriers will be notified of these delivery preferences in real-time,ensuring shipments are delivered at the right time,to the right place and at the utmost convenience to the customer.

With their increasingly busy lives,it is inevitable for customers to make last-minute schedule changes. DHL Express has added a new feature-- Courier Time Window-- which will send an SMS reminder to receivers on the day of delivery to alert them to a specific timeframe when they can expect their delivery. Receivers could request for changes in delivery time and location to avoid a missed delivery if they are on the move.
