13th Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia Finalists Unveiled

SINGAPORE,March 9,2020 -- 60 finalists for the Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia 2020 have convinced an independent panel of judges of their well-deserving achievements over the past year. Into its 13th edition,the prestigious Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia organised by Informa Markets is set to return to Singapore on 23 June 2020 to honour the achievements and the brightest talents in Asia's maritime industry.

One of the key highlights for this year's awards is the introduction of seven new and rebranded award categories,including the Start-Up Innovation Award,Digital Innovation Award and Shipping Company of the Year. In addition,four special awards will be presented to the highest stewards of the shipping industry.

Entries this year have been extremely competitive with an increase of over 40 per cent in the number of entries compared to the last edition and over 30 per cent are new participants.

"We hear the feedback from the market and updated our award categories to align with the industry needs and demand,focusing on the theme of maritime digitalisation,and reaching out to the start-up community. The response to these new categories has been overwhelming reflecting Asia's leading role in digital innovation for the maritime sector," said Marcus Hand,Editor of Seatrade Maritime News.

Winners of the 16 awards will be unveiled at a glamorous awards presentation and gala dinner on 23 June 2020 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
