L-com Releases IP68-Rated USB 2.0 Cable Assemblies and Panel-Mount Coupler

NORTH ANDOVER,Massachusetts,Feb. 21,2019 -- L-com Global Connectivity,a preferred manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products,announced today that it has released a new line of IP68-rated,USB 2.0 cable assemblies designed for use in harsh environment connectivity applications.

IP68-Rated USB 2.0 Cable Assemblies

The new U3A00064-series cables feature a USB 2.0,Type-C,waterproof,IP68-rated connector on one end of the assembly and a standard USB 2.0 Type-A connector on the other end. Additional features include gold-plated contacts that stand up to repeated mating cycles,32/24/28 AWG cable and double shielding to reduce the effects of EMI/RFI.

In addition to the new U3A00064 cable assemblies,L-com has also introduced a new waterproof,panel-mount,Type-C connector with PC tails that is also IP68-rated. The U3B00001 features threaded couplings and an O-ring seal ensuring protection against water and dust.
