Since taking on this task, the Green Economic Institute has conducted various surveys and studied the world's leading smart urban models of Singapore,Copenhagen (Denmark),Stockholm (Sweden),Seoul (South Korea) ... The practical research trips and meetings with leading experts have helped the Institute gain practical and useful information for planning and turning the creative and highly-interactive urban area in the East of Ho Chi Minh City into a new technology "mecca" with information technology as the core. This will be the place for integrating three fields: agriculture, information technology and tourism with three "valleys": Smart Farm Valley,Valley of Intelligence,Valley of Smart Housing.

On September 5,2019,the Green Economic Institute successfully organized a talk show to exchange experience on smart city development among Korean experts and 86 leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of departments, agencies and People's Committees of Districts 2,District 9 and Thu Duc. These are very important points for us to apply in the near future. "

To make the building solutions of smart cities to soon come into practice and be ready to deploy, the Green Economic Institute has worked and connected many different resources, both at home and abroad to participate in the project development. Specifically, the South Korean KT Corporation will be a strategic partner accompanying the Institute in providing technology solutions, connecting artificial intelligence (AI) and internet (IoT),Lavi E&C Construction Company and financial institutions, experts, etc.

According to Ms. Duong Thi Bich Diep, after successful application of the pilot model in Ho Chi Minh City, the Green Economic Institute will become the unit that connects and develops other smart cities nationwide.
