P&G Donates 300,000 Care Packs to Migrant Workers totalling S$5m as part of COVID-19 Relief Efforts
SINGAPORE,April 27,2020 -- In response to the COVID-19 pandemic,Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG),will be distributing a total of 300,000 care packs to migrant workers who are currently housed in purpose-built and factory-converted dormitories in Singapore. The donation totalling approximately S$5 million is part of a care initiative mobilized through partnerships with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM),the South West Community Development Council (CDC) and Migrant Workers' Centre (MWC).

The care packs will include essential personal health and hygiene items such as Oral-B toothbrushes,Gillette razors,and Head & Shoulders and Pantene shampoos. In addition,P&G will also provide household cleaning products to 43 purpose-built and more than 1,000 factory-converted dormitories to help ensure a clean and safe environment for migrant workers.
P&G Volunteers were joined by Ms. Josephine Teo,Ms. Low Yen Ling,Mayor of South West District and Senior Parliamentary Secretary,Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Education,and Mr. Yeo Guat Kwang,Chairman for Migrant Workers' Centre at a packing event held this afternoon. The care packs will be prepared and distributed through the MWC over the following weeks.

P&G has been working with long-standing partner organizations to support communities and those affected by this global pandemic. As part of an on-going partnership with the South West CDC,P&G has pledged and donated 3,000 South West Care Packs to vulnerable families and frontline workers,and 500 sets of cleaning products for identified Social Service Agencies and preschools in the South West District. P&G has also launched a fundraiser with each dollar matched by the company for the benefit of The Courage Fund,an initiative under the National Council for Social Services (NCSS). The fund aims to provide additional support and relief to vulnerable individuals and families,including healthcare workers,frontline workers and volunteers.
