Alita: Battle Angel Set New IMAX China February Opening Record

BEIJING,Feb. 25,2019 -- Alita: Battle Angelgrossed ¥61 million（US$9 million) in its opening weekend across 603 IMAX® theatres in China. The result marked the biggest IMAX China opening weekend ever for Fox as well as the biggest IMAX China February and Q1 opening for foreign titles. IMAX represented over 14% of the film's overall gross in China. 7 out of 10 top locations in China were IMAX theatres.

Alita: Battle Angel's strong performance,combined with The Wandering Earth's record-breaking cume,set a new record February box office for IMAX China reaching ¥418 million (US$61.7 million) with four days still remaining in the month.
