Chemours Issues First Annual Corporate Responsibility Commitment Report
WILMINGTON,Del.,Oct.30,2018 -- The Chemours Company (Chemours) (NYSE: CC),a global chemistry company with leading market positions in titanium technologies,fluoroproducts,and chemical solutions,todayannounced thatit has issued its first Corporate Responsibility Commitment (CRC) Report.The reportexpressesChemours'corporate responsibility commitment - an extension of the company's growth strategy - asten ambitiousgoals targeted for completion by 2030.The goals spaneight areas: safety excellence,vibrant communities,empowered employees,climate,water quality,waste,sustainable offerings,and a sustainable supply chain.
As part of this social responsibility initiativeChemours hassigned on tothe United Nations Global Compact,the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship and sustainability pact. Chemours is now one of more than 8,000 participating companies that have pledged to operate responsibly andin alignment withuniversally accepted sustainability principles,to takeactions that support the betterment ofsociety,toengagelocally where the company has a presence,and to report annually on Chemours' ongoing efforts.
