"Audio-Visual China" - International Broadcasting Industry Exchange Conference 2019 Held Successfully in Singapore

SINGAPORE,June 19,2019 -- On June 18,2019,the first "Audio-Visual China" - International Broadcasting Industry Exchange Conference was held successfully at BroadcastAsia 2019.

The conference was organized by The State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China and National Radio and Television Administration of the People's Republic of China,and co-organized by China Radio & TV Co. for International Techno-Economic Cooperation. It's China Pavilion's first appearance on leading international broadcast exhibition of its kind.

The conference focused on the theme of "Belt and Road International Broadcasting Industry Exchange". Participants from China and other countries had communication and exchanges with live audience on the topics of the development and current situations of Asian broadcasting industries,via keynote speeches,dialogs and discussions,and business negotiations.

Sun Kelin,Vice President of China Radio & TV Co. for International Tech no-Economic Cooperation,delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers. Sun said,"With its unique political,economy,diplomatic and cultural policies,Singapore has been a bridge and link for the development of culture,economics,and trade between the East and the West,playing an important and long-lasting role in South-East Asia,the rest of Asia,and even around the world. Broadcast-Asia is one of the most influential radio and television exhibitions in the region. It plays an important role in the broadcasting and television industry development for various Asian countries. By taking advantage of Broadcast-Asia,'Audio-Visual China' - International Broadcasting Industry Exchange Conference 2019 hopes to deepen exchanges with our counterparts and friends of the same industry from Singapore and other countries,get connected with foreign broadcasting markets,and promote cooperation between China's broadcasting industry and our foreign counterparts."

Du Baichuan,Vice Chairman,Committee of Science and Technology,NRTA of China,was the first keynote speaker. With the theme of "The Position of Broadcaster in the Intelligent Society",Du elaborated on the challenges and opportunities of China's broadcasting industry by emphatically introducing the technological development of ultra HD and AI,particularly their Chinese characteristics.

With the continuous change of technology,the broadcasting industry has undergone profound changes. This topic has been analyzed and talked over by Ahmed Nadeem,Director ABU Technology,Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union,and Peter Bruce,Director of IABM Asia-Pacific,with their speeches entitled "Future Trends in Broadcasting" and "The Landscape of the Broadcast and Media Technology Industry in China" respectively.

Representatives from the "China Pavilion" exhibitors,including Dayang,CTVIT,BBEF,Kxwell,and Nanguang also gave speeches one after another. Their speeches introduced the overseas practice,success stories,core products and the international competence of China's broadcasting enterprises,covering the entire chain of the broadcasting process.

The year 2019 marks China-ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges,also the 6th anniversary of China's "Belt and Road Initiative".Under the "Belt and Road Initiative",despite the different national conditions and different levels of development,the broadcasting industry is an important carrier of cultural exchanges. The conference was held as a successful attempt by the "China Joint Booth" to showcase on one of the internationally-renowned technology and equipment exhibitions,and will further promote industrial exchanges between China and South-east Asia.
