Indonesia's First-Ever Smart Electrical & Automation Expo Opens Today at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta
JAKARTA,Indonesia,Sept. 19,2018 -- Indonesia's largest and first-ever exhibition in smart electrical and intelligent devices,Elenex Indonesia 2018 and Building Systems & Automation Exhibition Indonesia 2018,opens today at JIExpo Kemayoran,Jakarta. Organised by PT Pamerindo Indonesia,the event will be openedthrough September 21,showcasing over 145 manufacturers covering Internet of Things (IoT) solutions,energy efficiency,innovative lighting,smart sensors,and building systems and automation.

Visitors will also have access to seminar sessions,mainly talking about integrated smart electrical and building automation systems,that aims to achieve 100 smart cities in Indonesia by 2019 and in accordance with "100 Smart City" program by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics of Republic Indonesia. Being held in conjunctions with Construction Indonesia and Concrete Show South East Asia,the exhibition was opened Ministry of Public Works & Housing Republic of Indonesia.
Indonesia Smart Grid Initiative (PJCI),an Indonesia-based smart grid association,will present in a seminar entitled "Smart Energy Revolution" while Association of Indonesian Standardization Society (MASTAN),will also share actionable insights on building automation system,in efforts to speed up the government's target. In addition to the above main topics,Electrical and Industries of Indonesia (APPI) will hold one with subtheme "Dissect APPI Electric Panel".
"Smart Grid counts with a strong correlation with renewable power plants,electric vehicles,and energy storage to thrive in the country's smart cities target. There is,however,still a lot of confusion from government over the setup processes. Here we invite people to get involved,thus they,as spokespeople,could educate and create new trends in a more efficient building,as well as renewable energy devices," said Eddie Widiono,founder of PJCI.
New innovative products highlighted at the expo include smart door lock using pins,cards,fingerprints,and Bluetooth; digital whiteboard with easy screen sharing; cloud-based meeting room touch screen; measuring instrument for electrical power efficiency; as well as industrial branch plug and socket with greater amperes required.
Spending on industrial IoT is projected to reach US$500 billion in 2020,or an increase of four times compared to 2012,according to Accenture. International Data Center (IDC) Indonesia stated that Indonesia is now claimed as the largest IT spender in Southeast Asia and ranks 19th globally,in term of spending.
