Fullerton Fund Management Appoints General Manager for China
SINGAPORE,June1,2020 -- Fullerton Fund Management Company Ltd today announced the appointment of James Zhang Jun as General Manager for its China entity,Fullerton Investment Management (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd,effective 1 June 2020.
Based in Shanghai,Mr Zhang will be instrumental in leading Fullerton's business in China,working closely with the China team,clients and business partners. He will be responsible for managing the investment and business development efforts,driving client engagement and overseeing the operations for the market. In his role,Mr Zhang will report to Fullerton Fund Management's Chief Executive Officer,Jenny Sofian.

Mr Zhang has close to 25 years of industry experience and a keen eye on the evolving business landscape and regulatory environment in China. Prior to this appointment,Mr Zhang was Executive Vice-President and Managing Director,Salesfor China International Fund Management,a joint venture of JP Morgan Asset Management. Previously,he was the Deputy General Manager of Personal Finance,Sales and Marketing,with China Construction Bank where he was responsible for the retail sales and marketing of personal wealth management products.

Mr Zhang replaces Mark Li,who has left the firm to pursue other interests.

James Zhang
General Manager,Fullerton Investment ManagementJames Zhang is the General Manager of Fullerton's China entity. He is responsible for managing the business,in line with the firm's goals and growth objectives.James has close to 25 years of experience,and has held a variety of roles in China's wealth management space,specialising in sales,marketing and business development.He worked at China International Fund Management (CIFM),a joint venture of JP Morgan Asset Management,for the last 9 years as their Managing Director responsible for Sales & Marketing. In this role,he was responsible for formulating and implementing sales strategy,and managing institutional and retail sales teams. His previous roles and responsibilities at CIFM also included business strategy development,marketing,product development and e-commerce. Prior to his role at CIFM,Sales & Marketing with China Construction Bank ("CCB") from 2007 to 2011,and worked in CCB since 1996.James holds a Master's Degree in Management Science & Engineering from Tongji University,and graduated from Shandong University with a Bachelor's Degree in Management Science & Engineering.
