"Fujian Brands on Maritime Silk Road" enables Fujian, China goods to go out

BANGKOK,Sept. 9,2019 -- As an important oriental starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road and a core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road,Fujian,Chinahas achieved fruitful results in trade and cooperation with countries and regions along the maritime silk road in recent years. Thailand is an important country on the "Belt and Road".It is the second largest economy in ASEAN and the fourth largest trading partner of China in ASEAN countries. It is the logistics,trade and financial center of ASEAN. As the "ASEAN Heart" and "Asian Umbilical Belt",the economy has been showing rapid development. Last year,the total import and export trade between Fujian and Thailand was 28.16 billion yuan,growing5.1% year-on-year. As of 2018,Thailand invested 151 projects in Fujian with contractual foreign investment of 450 million US dollars; Fujian has 16 foreign companies and branches investing in Thailand. The agreed investment amount is 86.219 million US dollars.

"Fujian Brandson the Maritime Silk Road" (Thailand) was the first stop of the series activities of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce in 2019. Based on 2019China-ASEAN (Thailand) products exhibitions,it was held September 5-7. China Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce setup Fujian Brand Pavilion,which showedthe overall image of Fujian Province,demonstrateing Fujian's enablingbusiness environment and reform and opening up results,and exhibitingFujian brand products. Meanwhile,the enterpriseproduct exhibition areaconsisted of more than 83 (91 booths) brand enterprises in food,shoes,clothing,home,building materials etc. The site welcomed many international merchants to visitand cooperate in the booth.

matchmaking meeting was held in EH100 Pavilion in Bangkok. Four Thai business associations and 33 selected Fujian brand enterprises were invited. Over70 Fujian and international business representatives attended the meeting. Six Fujian brand enterprise representativesintroduced their companies andlatest products,negotiated withinternational merchants with decision-making power to achieve accurate resultswith international merchants,further expanding Thailand and its surrounding markets.
