"I believe many of us in Malaysia do not realize how we can stand tall and hold our heads high in many areas, and it may take more feedback from those around us to remind us of this," said Ms Wong Abdullah.

"One of CALM's primary roles is to support and guide more young people to step up and take charge; we also need to encourage young Malaysians to look further afield and start being a positive influence on international affairs."

"I am excited that we will have several young Malaysian and international speakers who will be able to share their leadership experiences," she said.

Environmental scientist,Dr Renard Siew,is a member of the UN's Collective Climate Action Taskforce and has been recognised as one of Asia's 21 Young Leaders by the global non-profit organisation,Asia Society.
