As part of the tradition,one of the key elementsof theconferenceis to share research and analysis reports on the Best Workplaces in Greater China™ofthat year,and to further explore the latest trendsin the marketthrough keynote speeches andpaneldiscussion.
Atthisyear'sconference,Great Place to Work®invited many topspeakersfromcompanies such as Accenture,InfineonTechnologies,Hilton,Maersk,and International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™). Expertsin various fields shared insights and experiences of their top levels of management. In addition,senior leaders from five outstanding organizations cameforward tosharethebest practicesof their companies.
Theyear 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the founding ofGreat Place to Work®,and Mr. Jose Bezanilla,CEO of Great Place to Work® Greater China commented in his opening remarks,"The10th year anniversary celebration will focus not only on today,but throughout 2022 as well,providing opportunities for learning and exchanging ideas through a variety of events."
Moreover,a comprehensive10-yearanalysison workplace culture in Greater China was releasedin the formof a report,whichindicatedthat theBest Workplaces in Greater China™listhasincreased from 24 to 61organizationsin the past decade.Theoverall averagerating hasincreased from 79 points in 2012 to 89.8 points in 2021,with ahighest scoreof 90.5 points in 2020.
Great Place to Work®alsobrought inindustry insights froma third-party perspective.Ms. Mok Kai Lynn,Director of Corporate & International Relations of BIPO,and Yury Karp,Global Account Director providedprofessional insights from the perspective of human resources service providers. They found that theCOVID-19outbreak was a huge challenge for businesses,and employee engagement wasthekey factor in employee turnover. At the same time,the digital process is driving market changes,which also offers more possibilities for companies to tapintoalternativeways to attract,develop,and retain employees.
Furthermore,thisyear'sconferencefeaturedan innovative experiencecalled the"BestPracticeRelay",in whichspeakersfrom fivedifferent companies sharedone oftheirbest practicesinfive minutes.Unique hands-on experiences were shared by different speakers,andafterwards,the audiencewere asked tovote for their favoritebest practices.
