Hong Kong Play Host to International Cricket Tournament Featuring Mainland China, Japan and Korea
HONG KONG,Sept. 13,2018 -- This week marks the start of the Cricket East Asia Cup,that is taking place in three venues across Hong Kong from the 13th to 16th September.
Hong Kong Dragons will participate in the East Asia Cup.
It is the turn of Hong Kong to host the annual tournament and the Hong Kong Dragons,captained by Li Kai Ming will hope to use home advantage to win the trophy back from the last winners Korea. Mainland China have also sent a young and strong team as they look to increase their experience to get involved in more international tournaments in the years ahead.
The East Asia Cup is made possible by the commitment of each of the participating countries and is an exciting opportunity for the passionate individuals to compete in an international tournament and is a highlight of their calendar. As cricket is still a developing sport in each of the countries in the East Asia region the players,coaching staff and organisers all demonstrate an exceptional commitment to developing this globally popular sport. In addition,to promote the sport and increased public engagement,schools and NGOs are invited to experience cricket at an international level.
