PUBG Mobile Announces PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) with total prize of IDR 300 Million
JAKARTA,Indonesia,Dec. 17,2018 -- Player Unknown's Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile),an online multiplayer battle royale game developed by Tencent,announced today the largest university-based e-sports competition in Indonesia,PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) 2018. Involving over 40 universities from over 15cities in Indonesia,the qualifying session has started in December 2,2018 until January 25,2019. The qualifying sessions will be split into three stages; Campus qualifier,Regional Qualifier,and Grand Final. The earliest stage,or Campus Qualifier will worth the prize of IDR 2 million. Each campus qualifying session will pick 1 top squad,and total 40 squads together with 8 online qualified squads will play in league format on playoff. Around 16 Indonesian university's students will represent their alma mater's name toparticipate at the Grand Final Championship. Top players in Grand Final will get a chance to win over IDR 300 million.

E-sports and mobile gaming are rushing to cash in on explosive growth,and millennials will be a huge market for this potentia. A research by Newzoo stated that 80% of global app revenue will come from spending on games. The research added,mobile revenues account for more than 50% of the global games market,reaching $137,9 billion in 2018. Asia Pacific will be one of the largest contributors,estimated to generate US$ 71,4 billion,or 52% of total global game revenues.
"Like other career fields,e-sports which is part of the creative industry,also requires soft skills. This ability can be honed,favored,with easy penetration through various skills. Through PMCC,we also invite students to actively participate in making the events in their campus,becoming the caster,and designing championship trophies," added GagaLi.
Being held for the firsttime in Indonesia,PMCC has previously caught the attention in India,attracted college students leagues from across cities in Indonesiato represent the nation at the most-anticipated international competition,PUBG Mobile Star Challenge (PMSC) 2018.
