Goodman Group extends the call to 'Step up to Greatness' as registration opens for 8th Goodman Magic Mile Charity Ramp Run

Goodman Group is pleased to once again invite members of the public and corporate partners to registerfor the 8th Goodman Magic Mile Charity Ramp Runat its flagship Goodman Interlink property in Tsing Yi,Hong Kong on Sunday,24 March 2019.
With the theme Step up to Greatness,the iconic event sees corporate teams,families and individuals run or walk up Goodman Interlink's 15-floor cargo ramp. The Magic Mile Charity Ramp Run is an affirmation of Goodman Group's Making Space for Greatness brand purpose,which sees the Group support people,customers,communities and charity partners all over the world pursue Greatness.
Goodman Group looks to work with charitable organisations around the world that are striving to make a difference to the lives of those in need. The funds raised from this event will go to support a major eye care project being undertaken by The Fred Hollows Foundation over the next two years in Gansu Province in Western China. The project will train and empower local eye doctors,nurses and health workers to create a sustainable system of care.
In addition to the main race,the event this year will also feature a new blindfolded race to recreate the experience of being visually impaired. Wearing paper cataract glasses,participants will pair up and attempt to run or walk up two floors of the cargo ramp,giving them a sense of what cataract sufferers experience in their day-to-day life. The event will also see the return of the Magic Mile Challenge,a four lap circuit of the 15-floor cargo ramp for solo runners totalling 4 miles (6.5km). Last year's Magic Mile event successfully raised HK$1 million for the project and saw over 400 participants.
