Hong Kong Electronics Fair Provides Launch Pad for a Smarter Generation of Home and Baby Monitoring from Motorola
HONG KONG,Oct. 10,2018 -- "It is AI,not hardware, that will drive the home monitoring sector to its next stage of development," claims Dino Lalvani,Chairman of Binatone Electronics, and his company is demonstrating this thinking by launching a raft of smart new Motorola products at HKEF.All new-to-market products will focus as much on services as on hardware functionality.
Binatone’s “Home Mod” is the new modular home monitoring system to be showcased for the first time at HKEF from October 13 to 16,2018
Comfort Cloud is Motorola’s latest infant sleeper that offers a unique technology to enable parents monitor their baby’s sleep pattern.
For example,Binatone's new modular home monitoring system,Home Mods,on show for the first time at HKEF,is promoting the AI services as much as the new and unique flexible design.Stable intelligent facial recognition, dubbed FoF Detection (Friend or Foe),smart zoning and full Alexa voice integration combine to give a truly spectacular user experience. The modular design uses the same 1080p/IP67 camera with a variety of housings and fixings to allow a single camera to have uses in the home, nursery, outside and on the move. Home Mods is a smarter system which enables multiple configurations and has been developed with in-depth analysis of customer needs.
Services are also playing a big part in the development of smart nursery products,to safeguard Motorola's global dominance in this sector. The Motorola Comfort Cloud is an infant sleeper with a unique technology added to enable parents to monitor their baby's sleep patterns. In addition to the co-sleeper,the new baby monitors such as the Halo and the Peekaboo offer a greater level of analytics accessed through Motorola's IoT 'Hubble' platform.
Within the nursery sector,Hubble's latest services are set to offer new parents greater peace of mind when it comes to their baby. The Hubble app will give a detailed analysis of sleep and if mum and dad are concerned, there is the ability to ask forums and communities and even access help and advice from specialist healthcare professionals.
Even the new Motorola lifestyle audio products on show have-- as a minimum requirement-- Alexa integration through the Hubble app. From a set of 15 dollar wired earbuds to the top-of-the-range ANC over-ear headphones and true-wireless earbuds, every Motorola audio product can access Alexa via the Hubble app, opening up over 30,000 skill sets. This will introduce Amazon's Alexa voice assistant to millions and millions of consumers.
Commenting on the show,Lalvani concluded:"This is going to be the most exciting year yet. Our software and hardware engineers have never been so closely aligned to produce products that will exceed customers' expectations.People clearly want reliable hardware with intelligent services and this is what we're going to give them!"
