Taiwan East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration Tours in Japan to Showcase the Beauty of East Taiwan

HUALIEN,and TAITUNG,March 14,2019 -- To attract domestic and foreign tourists to experience the wonder of East Taiwan (or "Huadong"),the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration,TaiwanTourism Bureau has launched the "2018-2019 East Taiwan Industry Counseling and Exhibition Marketing Project" last yearto promote the culture,industries and beauty of theEast Rift Valley National Scenic Area(or "Huadong Rift Valley") to the world. This year,the promotion tour went to Osaka and Fukuoka fromMarch 8-12,2019.

The tour,known as "The 2019 West Japan Regional Tourism Promotion Activity",was led by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau. Members of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and individuals selectedby the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration,including representatives from Lixuan International Hotel,Fenglin Sanli Ice Cream,and Luye CuiDie Park Workshop have all attended the Osaka regional tourism promotion seminar,and had many one-on-one business meetings at the Osaka Conrad Hotel on March 8.

To celebrate the20th anniversary of the Osaka Office of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau,the Taiwan Tourism Association and the Osaka Office of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau have jointly organizedtourism promotion activities for the first time to the general public so as to attract more participants. In particular,the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administrationhas prepareda lot of promotion materials and exquisite giftsof theHuadong Rift Valley. The promotion group hasreceived amazing feedback on the first day.

After the Osakapromotion,thegroup has gone tothe Fukuoka area andheldseveral activities,includingsightseeing promotion roadshow,tourism promotion seminar,business forum,anda conference at the Fukuoka Tenjin Sky Hall West Japan Press Center and Hyatt hotel.

Mr. Zhou Yong-Hui,Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau,said the Bureau has paidgreat emphasis oninternational marketing withplans toimprove thetourism industryin Huadong.The tour in Japanwasto promotelocal industries from the Huadong areaand expandits tourist base. The groupis delighted to be able tocontactmore excellent Japanesebusinessesand people who are interested in Huadong. It is hopedthat more business opportunities will be created as the event continues.

Moving forward,the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administrationwill beorganizing promotion toursin South Korea,Hong Kong and Southeast Asia and will participate in international travel exhibitions to enhance its presence worldwide.
