China's Dandong Ranks Third in Tourism in Liaoning Province
DANDONG,China,July 2,2019 -- According to the ranking of total tourism income of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism,as of June2019,the scale of the Dandong tourism industry ranks third in Liaoning province,and has formed the "Golden Triangle" of Liaoning tourism with Dalian and Shenyang.
Dandong,the largest border city in China,is located in the southeast of Liaoning Province,at the confluence of the Yalv River and the Yellow Sea. It is the easternmost starting point of the Great Wall and the northernmost end of China's coast. It is divided by ariver from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and is a close neighborwith South Korea and Japan.
As "National Excellent Tourist City","National Garden City" and "National Sanitary City",Dandong is the most famous hot spring resort in Northeast China,the second marine hot spring city in China,and the "best drive travel destination city in China".
Relying on the rich and unique cultural tourism resources,Dandong City has made great efforts to create the image of "a beautiful city with mountains,coast,river,and farmland".Dandong has a pleasant climate,no too cold in winter and not too hot in summer. Its forest coverage is 67%,making it one of the most suitable cities for human habitation,known as "North Jiangnan".Dandong is rich in food resources,a wide variety of special seafood and agricultural products.
