Sydney Welcomes Another Icon - Hamilton

SYDNEY,March 17,2021 --Hamilton is one of the mostcritically acclaimedand successfulmusicalsof our time.Since debuting in2015,the Tony®,Grammy®,Olivier and Pulitzer Prize winning musicalhassoldover 2.6 million tickets,playingat iconic theatres from New York's Broadway to London'sWest End.Andas of March 2021,thisglobal phenomenonwillonly be playing inone location– Sydney's Lyric Theatre.

Commenting on Sydney as the host city of the Australian premiere,original Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller said: "Sydney is our bright light and our rising sun. It is thanks to Sydney that we can open Hamilton on schedule,as we have been planning for the past 3-plus years with the Michael Cassel Group."

Hamiltonwill open this Marchat the Australian family owned and operated,2,000 seatSydney Lyric Theatre. Owned by the Found family of Foundation Theatres,Sydney Lyric Theatre is a staple of the NSW musical theatre scene.

Thetalentedand diverse35-person castincludesSydney local ChloeZuel,who plays Eliza Hamilton.Tickets for the show are available most nights of the week,withback-to-backshows playing on weekends,for the entirety of the season from March 2021.

Destination NSW CEO Steve Cox said: "We're immensely proud that Hamilton is opening exclusively in Sydney this month – further proof that Sydney is not only one of the greatest cities in the world but also the place to be right now. What a way for Sydney to show the world that we're open for business,welcoming visitors and really embracing the roaring 2020s."

Hamilton will open at Sydney Lyric Theatre from 17 March 2021.
